Cargo-Worthy (CW) means the container has passed an inspection for international shipping right now — today. CSC plate is valid, doors latch, gaskets seal, floor is solid, no holes you can see daylight through. The cosmetic side: dents from forklifts, surface rust from years at sea, mixed paint from prior cargo line repaints. The structural side: built to ship 30 tons across the ocean.
Forklift marks, corner dings, side panel waves. Cosmetic only — not structural.
Orange/brown patches. Treatable with paint. Not perforating rust.
Often patched gray, blue, or sand over the original cargo line color. Looks "used."
Both doors open/close, latches lock, gaskets seal. Sometimes stiff from disuse — loosens up.
Marine plywood floor, ~1.1" thick. May show oil stains or cargo marks. Structurally sound.
International Convention for Safe Containers plate stamped within the last 30 months.
Most people buying for storage, jobsite use, ag/equipment lockup, or backyard property. You're paying for steel and security, not paint. Cargo-Worthy delivers both at the lowest practical price point.
Skip CW if you need a showroom finish — workshop conversions, container homes with exterior visible, brand-facing pop-ups. For those, go One-Trip.
Cargo-Worthy is our most common stock — typically the best value per cubic foot. Pricing varies by size and supply, but CW is always the lower price tier on each container type.
See Cargo-Worthy pricing on each size →No mystery boxes — that's the pillar. Call us, tell us your use case, and we'll match a specific container in stock to the spec and send photos of the actual unit before payment. If the photos don't look right, we keep looking.
